Who we are?

TS ELECTRICAL (BUCKINGHAM) LIMITED (company number 11286557) Unit 13 Homeground, Buckingham Industrial Estate, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, MK18 1UH have created this Privacy Notice to help you understand what personal data we process and how we use it in our business dealings with you. We are registered with the ICO ZB292698.

We are a Data Controller when we deal with our own customers, potential customers, or website user’s data. This means that we are responsible for the protection of your personal data under UK Data Protection law.

Our website is not intended, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

How do we process your personal data?

So that we can provide a service to you we need to process some of your personal data. We make sure that we only collect what we need and have outlined below the various ways in which we process your personal data:

When you visit our website: We use cookies on our website which collect several types of personal data. This will include details about your visits to our website; page views, downloads, navigation, and exit; IP address; geographical location; browser type and version; operating system; referral source; length of your visit. Our website may contain links to other external websites. We aren’t responsible for the practices, policies or content of such websites and suggest that you check their privacy policies to ensure that you are happy to continue browsing.

When you become one of our business customers: We will process your name and contact details, as we have a legitimate interest to do so. This is so that we can fulfil our contract to your organisation, ensure we are able to service your requirements and answer any enquires you may have. 

When you become one of our consumer customers: We will process your name and contact details so that we can fulfil our contract to you. This will involve communications regarding how we service your requirements and answering any enquires you may have. We will also process financial details about yourself to enable payment for our service. We keep records of your purchases so that we can manage and plan our business effectively. Keeping records such as this is in our legitimate interest as a business, and we make sure that none of this affects your individual rights. We value your feedback, so occasionally we will survey our customers to ensure that we are giving the best possible service. Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest to understand how we can improve our service.

When you join our marketing list: We will collect your name and contact details so that we can send you appropriate marketing communications. For our business customers we use our legitimate interest to send you marketing messages unless you have opted out. For our Consumer Customers, we will send you emails marketing based on our legitimate interest if you have made a purchase from us. You will have been given the opportunity to opt out at the time of purchase. If you are not yet a customer of ours, we will only send you marketing messaged with your prior consent. You are welcome to unsubscribe at any time.

When you send us an enquiry:  You may have sent us an enquiry via the contact page on our website. We will collect your name and contact details as it’s in our legitimate interest to do so that we can enter into correspondence with you and answer your enquiry.

How long do we keep your personal data?

If you are on our marketing list: If you remain part of our active marketing list, we will keep your personal data until you opt out. At that point we will use a suppression list to ensure that we don’t contact you in error.

If you have consented to non-essential cookies:  You can find out more about the retention of your data and update your preference on our Cookies Consent Management Plugin on our website. 

If you are a customer of ours: we will keep your personal data for as long as we have a contract with you and then for a further 7 years in accordance with HMRC guidelines.

How do we communicate with you?

Non-Marketing Communications include: service messages, invoices, answers to enquiries and other communications to ensure that we deliver the services you have engaged us for.

Marketing Communications include: Emails, SMS or postal regarding other services we offer as well as content marketing we hope you will find useful. You are welcome to unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.

If you have consented to marketing cookies such as Facebook Pixels you may be served Facebook Ads regarding our services. You can change your cookies consent at any time by visiting our Cookie Consent Management Plugin on our website. You may also wish to change your Facebook settings if you don’t want to see targeted advertising.

Social Media: We use Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We sometimes use paid advertising on these platforms, but we will only use custom audiences with your consent. You can find a copy of this Privacy Notice on our Facebook page in the ‘About’ section.

Who has access to your personal data?

We share your personal data with various organisations so we can fulfil our contract with you to help us run our business and to fulfil our legal obligations.

These include: Accountants, Webhosts, we also use Microsoft and other software services to ensure that we run our business efficiently. If required, at it is lawful, we will share personal data with authorities such as HMRC.

We do not pass your personal data onto third parties for marketing purposes unless we have your consent.

We ensure that our systems are robust, and we will only share your data with organisations who have appropriate safeguarding mechanisms in place such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We have Data Processing Agreements with our Data Processors and never sell personal data to third parties.

In the event that TS Electrical is sold or transfers its assets to another party, your personal data could be one of the transferred assets. If your personal data is transferred it will remain subject to this Privacy Notice. Your personal data will be passed onto a successor in the event of a liquidation or administration.

What are your rights?

You have several rights which you can access free of charge. In certain circumstances we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee if your requests are unfounded or excessive. You have the following rights:

Right of access: You can request access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you as well as details about why and how we use your data.

Right to rectification: You can ask us to change or complete any personal data we hold about you which is inaccurate or incomplete.

Right to be forgotten/erasure: You have a right, under certain circumstances to ask us to delete any personal data we hold out you. Please note that there may be situations where we must retain your personal data after a request for erasure where we have a lawful basis for doing so.

Right of restriction: You can ask us to restrict (i.e.: prevent) the processing of your personal data where you have objected to our use of it, and we have no lawful basis to continue processing your personal data.

Right to data portability: In certain circumstances, you can ask us to transfer the data we hold about you to another. This would be sent in a structed, commonly used, electronic form.

Right to object: You can object to us using your personal data for particular purposes; and

Automated decision making: You have a right not to be subjected to automated decision making and profiling in certain circumstances.

How can you submit a query or complaint?
