This summer, our MCS Certified team installed Solar Panels and Battery Storage at a domestic property.
Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels are a great way to generate your own clean and renewable electricity at home. They can help you save money on your energy bills, reduce your carbon footprint, and even earn some income from selling excess power back to the grid.
We’ve recently worked with this customer to install 6 x 425 Watt Solar Panels and 5.2 Kilowatts of Battery Storage to allow them to generate up to 2.5 Kilowatts of energy from their own Solar Panel System at home.
This full design and install from our MCS Certified team included:
- Working with a roofing contractor to prep and install the brackets & rails
- Mount the Solar Panel System
- Install the GivEnergy Inverter and Battery Storage to the loft, as well as a smoke detector
- Test and Commission the installation and setup the GivEnergy App
- Submit the DNO notification G98 with documentation for full MCS approval and connection to the National Grid.
This install took 3 days to complete and was carried out with minimal disruption to family life, who are just as pleased with the result of this install as we are. Plus, with the GivEnergy app, the customer is already seeing real time benefits of having these Solar Panels on their roof!
